AI-Specific Terms Addendum

This AI-Specific Terms Addendum ("AI Addendum") forms part of the Website and Platform Terms and Conditions and applies where you or your Authorised Users access or use AI-assisted features within the Platform.

1. AI-assisted features

AI-assisted features may include:

automated drafting, summarisation or redlining of content;
recommendations, scoring or prioritisation support;
risk, control or workflow suggestions; and
other AI-powered assistance as made available from time to time.

AI-assisted features are intended to support human users and are not designed to operate as fully autonomous systems.

2. Roles under AI regulations

Depending on how you deploy and use AI-assisted features in your environment and jurisdiction, you may be classified as a "deployer" or other role under applicable AI regulations (for example, the EU AI Act), and we may be classified as a "provider", "deployer" or other role in the AI supply chain.

Your regulatory status, and ours, may vary based on how you configure the Platform, what use cases you implement, the sectors you operate in and the extent to which you rely on AI outputs.

You remain responsible for determining how applicable AI regulations (including any local implementing laws or guidance) apply to your own use of the Platform and for fulfilling your obligations as a deployer, operator or equivalent under those laws.

3. Human oversight and use of outputs

AI-assisted features are designed as decision-support tools. You agree to:

ensure that AI-assisted outputs are reviewed and validated by appropriately qualified human users before important decisions are made or actions taken;
not rely solely on AI-assisted outputs for decisions that may produce legal or similarly significant effects on individuals or organisations; and
ensure that users understand the assistive nature and limitations of AI-assisted features.

You remain responsible for the consequences of decisions and actions taken in reliance on AI-assisted outputs.

4. Data provided to AI-assisted features

You control what content and Customer Data you choose to submit to AI-assisted features.

You will not use AI-assisted features to process categories of data that you are prohibited from processing, or that require specific safeguards that you have not implemented.

Where AI-assisted features rely on third-party AI providers, we aim to configure those providers so that Customer Data is not used to train their general models, subject to provider capabilities and contractual arrangements.

5. Logging, monitoring and governance

We may log prompts, outputs and related metadata (including timestamps, user identifiers and system events) relating to AI-assisted features in order to:

provide the features and maintain service quality;
support auditability and accountability;
monitor for misuse, abuse, security incidents or anomalies; and
meet applicable legal, regulatory or governance expectations.

We may also apply filters, safety controls or rate limits to AI-assisted features to protect the Platform and other users.

6. Your AI compliance responsibilities

You are responsible for:

assessing whether your use of AI-assisted features involves high-risk or regulated use cases under applicable laws;
performing any required impact assessments, risk assessments or documentation;
implementing appropriate internal policies, training and governance for AI use;
ensuring appropriate transparency to your own users and data subjects, where required; and
configuring your account, workflows and access controls in a manner that aligns with your risk tolerance and legal obligations.

If you use the Platform in contexts where AI-related obligations apply (for example, where AI-assisted features contribute to high-risk systems), you are responsible for ensuring that your deployment meets those obligations.

7. Conflicts

If there is any conflict between this AI Addendum and the main Terms, this AI Addendum will prevail in relation to AI-assisted features.
